Jonk joins Volendam's board. |

Ex- Dutch international Wim Jonk has been given a
position on Volendam's board of directors. Jonk, who began his football career
at Volendam after having learned the tricks of the trade at the clubs reputed
youth scheme, will have an advisory role and will be assisting the club's
youth development program as their technical director. After leaving Volendam,
Jonk played for Ajax, Inter, PSV and Sheffield United.

High flying Volendam
have informed Ricardo Appelman, Patrick Leeflang and Klaas Vriend that their contracts will not be renewed
this summer. Although Volendam are too far behind league leaders Den Haag
to gain automatic promotion, with their third place Volendam will undoubtedly
qualify for the end of season playoffs. Appelman and Leeflang have only managed
one first team appearance this season, Klaas Vriend one less.

offer Faria 3 year deal |

Volendam have offered midfielder Reginald Faria a three year contract.
The 21 year old player, who is currently playing for Volendam on an
Amateur basis, made such a good impression during Volendam's 6-1 hammering
of Go Ahead Eagles earlier in the week, that the Volendammers believe he
has earned a prof. deal. Faria, who learnt the tricks of the trade via
Ajax's youth academy, came to Volendam in 2001 after brief spells at AZ
and Den Haag.

Ex-NAC midfielder Brian
Tevreden, who has been playing for Volendam this season as an amateur,
has been offered a professional contract by the club. Volendam have
also offered youth player Kees Kwakman a contract.

time shooting ex-Volendam player, Yuri Rose's cross. In the 2nd
half Volendam also came close to scoring a few times but were unlucky in
their finishing. |

Volendam climb into 4th position, after beating
Top Oss 0-3. The match should of been played last weekend but was postponed
due to a bad weather conditions. Maurice Salden (7th) and Maurice Buys
(20th) put the half-time score on the board. Shortly after Michael Brunswijk
was sent for an early shower Ouhsane made it 0-3.

draw 1-1 with Veendam |

Heracles dropped 2 valuable points this evening
after their 0-0 draw against Veendam. Both teams had opportunities
to breakthe score but the goalkeepers were on form tonight.
Brian van Loo held Heracles in the game, stopping shots from Yuri Rose, Paul
Weerman and Max Houttuin and towards the end of the match somehow managing
to save a shot from Heracles's own defender Ruud Jansen. Veendam's
goalie also had a busy night helping his team snatch the 1 point with saves
from Rik Platvoet , Yuri Rose and Thijs Sluiter.

beat Cambuur 4-3 |

| Volendam
had their hands full dealing with Cambuur this afternoon after the visitors
twice took the lead. After Dian Esajasd for Volendam in the 23rd
minute of the game, Cambuur took control of the match, deservedly
equalizing in the 33rd via Lionel
Lord and, 2 minutes later, going into the lead via
their top scorer Jan Bruin. Although Karim Bridji equalized for
Volendam in the 45th minute Cambuur were once again back in front via Dirk
Jan Derksen, also scoring in the 45th. After the break Volendam were the
better side and within 9 minutes the score was once again level when
Sebastian Steur found the back of the net with his first goal of the season.
In the 73rd Volendam's top scorer Maurice Buys, nudged in the winner, his 6th of the
season. |

Volendam made amends for last
week's poor home performance, beating Telstar 0-2. After a goalless
first half in which the visitors slighty dominated Mischa Saldend in
the 62nd minute with his 1st goal of the season. Dion Esajas put the final
score on the board 10 minutes later.

Den Haag gained another 3 valuable points last night
after beating Volendam 0-2 in the Veronica stadium and now go top of the
table. Van der Laan d in the
31st minute
for Den Haag via the penalty spot, his 5th goal of the season. In the
61st minute Joost Cales made it 0-2, finally scoring his 1st goal of the
season.

Hamming's two goals against Volendam turned the match around for Fortuna
after being 1-0 down they went on to win 1-2. It was only the 2nd win of the
season for the Sittardians and Volendam will be disappointed to drop
valuable points and miss out on the chnace to close the gap with the top 3
teams in the Eerste Divisie. |

Promotion-outsiders Volendam
gained three valuable points with an easy 1-2 away win against Eindhoven
this evening. The visitorsd in the 30th via Reginald Faria. Club
topscorer Maurice Buys increased the lead to 0-2 in the 82nd with his 5th
goal of the season. A John Laponder spot-shot put the final 1-2 on the
scoreboard in the 88th.

team ahead in the 6th minute, Stefan Jansen missing a golden opportunity to
increase their lead from the spot only five minutes later. The lone goal
proved enough to give Den Bosch the points. |

After losing their first two
games of the season Volendam haven't have lost since and are now 5 games
without defeat. This evening VVV were the unhappy losers after a 4 - 2 defeat. Volendam took what looked to be a comfortable 3 - 0 lead with 2 goals by
Esajas (11th and 72nd) and 1 goal by Ouhsaine in the 28th minute of the
game. 12 minutes before the final whsitle VVV pulled one back via Meeuwis
and then 3 minutes later Mbemba increased the excitement-level of
the match when he reduced Volendam's lead to just 1 goal. However, Volendam
managed to hold onto their lead and with a few minutes left on the clock Maurice Buys
put the result beyond doubt and the 4-2 on the board. |

Veendam and Volendam drew 2-2
this evening, with both teams putting on a poor display. Volendam' forward
Ouhsaine gave the visitors the lead in the 36th minute with a powerful
25 meter shot. On the stroke of half time Veendam leveled after Slor Headed
in a free kick. After Buys made it 2-1 for Volendam Slor put the final
score on the board with his second goal of theevening.

Volendam won their 3rd game in a row
last night, narrowly beating Haarlem 3-2. Maurice Buysd the
score for the home side in the last minute of the 1st half. The remaining 4
goals were all scored in the last 10 minutes of the game. Houssein Ouhsane
Ouichou increased Volendam's lead to 2 - 0 in the 80th minute.
Volendam's Luirink scored an own goal in the 81st before Maurice Buys made it 3-1 in the 90th minute
of the match with his 2nd goal of the night. 1 minute into injury time
Haarlem's Jeroen Ketting put the final 3-2 score on the board.

Eagles lose to Volendam 1 - 2 |

Volendam got off to a shaky start to the
season, losing their first two games, but won their second game in a row
last night, narrowly beating Go Ahead Eagles 1 - 2. In an over
heated match, in which referee Van der Hilst awarded 4 yellow and 2 red cards,
the visitorsd the score via midfielder Faria in the 23rd minute. Bram
Marbus equalized for the Eagles 8 minutes later. 3 minutes into the
2nd half Dion Esajas scored the final goal of the evening. Both teams now
occupy the same position in the league table with 6 points from 4 matches.

narrowly beat Sparta last night 3 - 2 with Sparta forward Ricky van den
Berg missing a spot shot. Sparta went into the break with a 1 - 2
lead. Danny Koevermansd for the visitors in the 7th minute.
After Maurice Buys levelled in the 41st Sparta were back on top 2
minutes later with another Danny Koevermans goal. Volendam's Moroccan
forward, Houssein
Ouhsane Ouichou, levelled the score in the 75th and Raoul
Henar scored the winner 5 minutes before time. |

best footballing town,
Volendam, lost their second game of the season last night and are now
bottom of the Eerste Divisie. Emmend the season with a suprise win
against Eerste Divisie newcomers Sparta and grabbed the points last night
via a Donny de Groot goal in the 55th minute.

Helmond Sport kicked-off their new
season in fine style with a 5-1 against Volendam. Roy Hendriksen started
things off with a spot-shot in the 11th, Ivar van Dinteren made it 2-0 in the
37th. After the break Dion Esajas got one back for Volendam in the 53rd
before Ronald Dassen scored a 3rd for the home team in the 65th, leaving Leon
Kantelberg (85th) and Erik van Dijk (88th) to take the final score to 5-1 in a 3
minute spell before the whistle.

Volendam beat amateurs Hilversum 0-4 in Amstel
Cup Group 2. Harvey Esajas scored twice, Maurice Buys and Reginald Faria
scored one-a-piece for the Eerste Divisie side.
