Video Analysis Procedure
At the beginning of the video, please provide a brief description of
the specific area(s) you wish to have analyzed, and what specific
problems you are having.
Whether you are requesting analysis of placekicking, punting or
kickoffs, only the first 20 kicks will be analyzed (for example, if you
want field goals and kickoffs analyzed, videotape a good representative
sample of each. If you want field goals and punts analyzed, videotape
10 of each. If you want all 3 analyzed, video any combination, up to 20
kicks). Please provide kicks from different angles. See the diagram at
right for required camera positions for KICKING
|
 |
For field goals and kickoffs, show how you determine the angle from which
you will kick. Record yourself getting into the kicking position (for
example, show how many steps you take back from the tee and how many steps
you take to the side). Continue recording through the follow-through after
you have made contact with the ball. DO NOT pan to the football going
towards the goalposts.
If you wish to add commentary after each kick, please feel free to do so
(for example, “I kicked the ball very high, it spun very fast but fell
short” or “I kicked a line drive”).

If you requested PUNTING analysis, the
camera positions shown at left are required. |
You will receive a personalized video addressing the specific problems of
your form. My response will be filmed on Hi8 video film and transferred to
your original VHS video.
