Arnarsson rest of season with Top Oss

Utrecht's talented Victor Arnarsson Icelandic attacking midfielder has been lent out to Eerste Divisie club TOP Oss.for the rest of the season sa that he can gain more experience before coming back to Utrecht next season.
Glen Helder to play for Top Oss

Glenn Helder, who was forced to end his career two seasons ago due to a series of injuries has decided to make a return to professional football. The 34 year old ex-international has been offered the chance to play for Eerste Divisie club Top Oss until the end of the season on an amateur basis. Helder, who somehow never really managed to make themost from his illustrious talents, has played for  Sparta, Vitesse, Arsenal, Benfica NAC, Dalian FC (China), MTK Budapest (Hungary) and RBC.

Jean Philip Becht on trial with Top Oss

NAC defender Jean Philip Becht has been given the chance to earn a contract with Eerste Divisie club Top Oss. The 20 year who saw trials abandoned last week due to frost, will be given a second chance to demonstrate his abilities during Top Oss's  friendly match against Ere Divisie club Willem II on  Wednesday evening. If the player impresses Top's officials during the match then a deal will be signed.
NAC players on trial with Top Oss

Eerste Divisie club Top Oss are to test two of NAC's players as of next week. 22 year-old defender Jean Philip Becht, whose contract runs out at the end of this season, and Moroccan left-winger Anouar Hamdi, currently playing for NAC as an amateur, will join Top Oss's squad on Monday. 

Helmond beat Top Oss 4-2

Helmond went into the break leading 3-0 via goals from Ron Heesakkers (31st), Martin van Dijk (29th)  and Roy Hendriksen's 43rd minute spot-shot. Marinus Dijkhuizen pulled one back for the visitors, heading in from close range in the 56th minute but the Ossers found themselves trailing 4-1 in the 74th minute when Ron Heesakkers scored his 2nd of the evening. In the 81st minute Top Oss's best player Houssin Bezzai scored the nicest goal of the evening, an impressive 35 meter free kick.
TOP Oss lose 0-3 to Volendam

Volendam climb into 4th position, after beating Top Oss 0-3. The match should of been played last weekend but was postponed due to a bad weather conditions. Maurice Salden (7th) and Maurice Buys (20th) put the half-time score on the board. Shortly after Michael Brunswijk was sent for an early shower Ouhsane made it 0-3.
Telstar lose to Haarlem 0-1

Haarlem won this afternoon 0-1 from down the road Telstar in an ice cold Schoonenberg stadium via a 61st minute goal from Mulder. Haarlem were by far the best side but were sloppy in front of goal. Haarlem top scorer Jeroen Ketting should haved the score for the visitors in the 20th minute after being awarded a penalty but failed to net..
Emmen go top after 5-0 against Top Oss

Emmen had a convincing win this evening, hammering Top Oss 5-0. Donny de Grootd the score in the 13th minute with the one and only goal of the 1st half. 5 minutes into the second half Sibum increased the lead to 2-0 and 2 minutes later Furfaro netted again for the home side. In the 65th Donny de Groot was once again on target with his second goal of the evening, his 13th of the season, putting him just 1 goal behind the ere divisie's top scorer, Rik Platvoet.
Emmen climb into 1st place, 1 point ahead of Den Haag who have a game in hand.
Telstar lose to Volendam 0-2

Volendam made amends for last week's poor home performance, beating Telstar 0-2.  After a goalless first half in which the visitors slighty dominated Mischa Saldend in the 62nd minute with his 1st goal of the season. Dion Esajas put the final score on the board 10 minutes later.
Top Oss lose to Cambuur 1-2

Top Oss were unable to profit from Cambuur's biggest defeat since 1956 (Cambuur - Heracles 1-7), losing this match 1-2. Jan Bruind the score for the visitors in the 35th minute. 5 minutes after the break Top Oss drew level via Danny Guyt. In the 77th Cambuur's Ferdinand Katipina put the final score on the board.

Heracles too strong for TOP Oss 4-0

Table-toppers were clearly too strong for TOP Oss, reflected in the 4-0 scoreline. They kicked-off in attacking mood and had a few chances early on including a disallowed Platvoet goal. The Ossers tried to get into the game but were kept busy defending and, after a couple morengs, it came as no surprise when Yuri Rose headed in ther in the 33rd. Rik Platvoet doubled the score from a rebound off goalie Guido Budziak in the 44th and, ten minutes later, Thijs Sluijter made it 3-0. Heracles controlled the rest of the match and John Stegman's 89th shot was the icing on the cake, keeping the home team top-of-the-table.

TOP Oss continue their run of reasonable performances with a 1-0 win against Stormvogels/Telstar thanks to a 42nd minute goal by Dennis Iliohan.
Den Haag lose to Top Oss 1-2

Title-favourites ADO Den Haag lost last week 1-2 at Cambuur Leeuwarden and repeated the score tonight with their second consecutive defeat, dropping to 3rd place, 3 points adrift of Eerste Divisie leaders Emmen. The home-side got off to a good start with Peter Hofstedeng the score in the 2nd minute of the match with his 2nd goal of the season but Mischa Rooks put the equalizer away in the 32nd. In the 82nd minute Chaly Jones scored the winner with his 1st goal of the season. 
Top Oss lose to MVV 1-2

MVV gained their first win of the season, narrowly beating Top Oss 1-2. After a disappointing 1st half in which both teams excelled in bad passing and sloppy finishing, the score was finallyd by Dennis van de Berg in the 69th minute. MVV Forward Wasiu Taiwo levelled the score 6 minutes later and in the 89th he scored the winning goal.
Fortuna lose 2-3 to TOP Oss

Danny Guyt put TOP Oss ahead after 35 minutes and doubled the score in the 48th minute. 15 minutes before time Dennis Iliohan made it 0-3. Injury time goals by Georges Tychon and Joos van Barneveld were too late to give Fortuna a point.

Top Oss and Eindhoven draw 2-2

TOP Oss played host to Eindhoven as they went on the hunt for another win, keeping them in touch with the Eerste Divisie top. 
Luciano van Kallen put Eindhoven ahead in the 31st and Dennis Iliohan scored the equalizer in the 50th. Eindhoven nosed ahead again when Geoffrey Prommayon found the back of the net in the 65th but only 5 minutes later Onyeike drew the Ossers level. 

TOP Oss win at Den Bosch 2-4

Den Bosch played host to TOP Oss in their Ecco stadiun and went ahead after 10 minutes through Stefan Jansen. TOP Oss drew level in the 59th with a Danny Guyt goal. Marinus Dijkhuizen put them ahead in the 65th and 5 minutes later Chima Onyeike made it 1-3. Two goals in the last minute of the match, Derk Schut closing the gap a little for Den Bosch and  Chima Onyeike slotting home a penalty for the visitors, put the final 2-4 on the board.

Dordrecht were without a glimmer of hope after Francois Gesthuizen (2) and Marinus Dijkhuizen had scored in theng 25 minutes to give TOP Oss an unassainable 3-0 lead.
VVV and Top Oss draw 1-1

After a poor match against Go Ahead Eagles the week before VVV were determined to snatch the points at home to Oss. They were certainly sharper at the start and Henk Hofstede put them ahead after only 3 minutes. The home team continued to have the better of the chances in theng half while TOP Oss were impotent to do anything about the deficit. Trainer Harry van der Haam brought on Sako for Dennis van den Berg after the break and the change finally added some sparkle to the Ossers and Marinus Dijkhuizen headed in the equalizer in the 53rd. 

Chaly Jones joins TOP Oss

Chaly Jones has been added to Eerste Divisie TOP Oss' lineup where he'll turn out as an amateur. The 25 year-old, who likes to play a role behind the strikers, last played for Portugese side Madeira and before that had spells with Den Bosch, Excelsior and Feyenoord.

Top Oss grabbed their first points of the season last night via goals from Dennis van de Berg in the 17th minute and Chima Onyeike in the 57th, leaving Haarlem with their 2nd defeat in 3 games.
Veendam beat Top Oss 4 - 0

Veendam earned themselves their first win of the season after  convincingly beating Top Oss 4 - 0. The visitors, playing their first game of the season already found themselves trailing 1 - 0 when Mark van Eijk found the back of the net after only 8 minutes of play. Van Eijk was also responsible for the 2 - 0, just 4 minutes after the break. Paul Klinker and Michiel Klinkers added another 2 goals to the score in the 69th and 72nd minutes.

TOP Oss have added their second former Ajax player in as many days with the signing of Guillermo Graaven, who formerly played for English side Ipswich Town and recently had an unsuccessful trial with 2. Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg and Ere Divisie side Heerenveen, on a contract for one year. Christopher Kwanu has already decided to play for the Eerste Divisie side as an amateur in order to play himself 'into the picture' and earn himself a deal.

Christopher Kanu will be playing for Eerste Divisie TOP Oss as an amteur. Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu's younger brother, who became superfluous at Ajax, will be trying to earn himself a place in the lineup with the Ossers. The 22 year-old Nigerian international played 15 matches for the Amsterdammers between 1999 and 2001 and last season was on loan to Jordi Cruijff's side Alavés.

TOP Oss have added defender Emilien Mendi to their squad for the coming season. The 29 year-old has a French passport allowing him to play in Holland and has signed for the Eerste Divisie side from Brabant for one season with an option for another. Mendi is a central defender who last season turned out for Belgian side SK Ronze where he was voted best defender in the Belgian 2nd division (Tweede Klasse).

TOP Oss receive licence for next season

TOP Oss have been given their licence to continue playing Eerste Divisie football next season. Chairman Paul Lansaat said he was never really worried about failing to obtain it and that the Dutch FA's (KNVB) licencing committee even paid the club a few compliments. 

Krijgsman talks to TOP Oss

Dennis Krijgsman has offered his goal-scoring services to Eerste Divisie TOP Oss. The 30 year-old striker was recently given a severance payment by ailing Fortuna, who terminated his contract, and he's now looking for a new club where he can continue his career. Club spokesman Bert Zwanenburg says that they are nonetheless interested in talking to a player of his calibre and trainer Harry van den Haam will shortly be meeting with Krijgsman. However, the Ossers have other priorities as they are actually looking to sign a defender and have offered three players a trial during the coming week: Houssin Bezzai (sparta), Ismael Dorjee (Ajax A1 youth) and Kelvin van der Horst (Go Ahead Eagles).
No licence yet for TOP Oss and Den Bosch

The Dutch FA (KNVB) have rejected Top Oss' and FC Den Bosch's application for a licence for next season. There are still question marks concerning the clubs' financial situation but they will be appealing against the decision. TOP Oss were on the edge of bankruptcy and only a massive effort has prevented them from going bust. Chairman Paul Lansaat expects that his club will be granted a licence once the KNVB have examined the 'books' in order to see how the club managed to achieve a sound budget for next year. 
FC Den Bosch have been given three weeks to clear certain debts they still owe the Dutch inland revenue (tax-authorities) and the players' pension fund before they qualify for a licence. The club is considering the sale of their stadium in order to raise the €1 million Euros needed and they expect to be granted their licence in the next few days.
Excelsior's Onyeike signs for TOP Oss

Excelsior's Chima Onyeike has chosen not to return on loan to FC Dordrecht and has signed for TOP Oss instead. The 27 year-old striker has signed a deal for two years after having a "satisfying" talk with trainer Harry van den Ham. Talking to Dutch provincial newpaper the "Rotterdams Dagblad" the former HFC  Haarlem and VVV player said, "I need to invest another year of footballing in Holland before considering a move abroad".
Francois Gesthuizen signs for TOP Oss

Francois Gesthuizen will be playing for TOP Oss next season after the 29 year-old midfielder accepted a second, improved offer from the club. He's signed a contract for 3 years with a clause allowing him to follow his first coaching course after which he'll look after the club's B-youth team. The former NAC and Fortuna player has been with Cambuur Leeuwarden during the last two seasons. 
TOP Oss sign PSV's Guido Budziak

Eerste Divisie side TOP Oss have signed PSV's Guido Budziak on a contract for 2 years. The Eindhoven club are also hiring out young midfielder Björn Becker to the Ossers next season. Budziak was promoted to reserve keeper at PSV no less than 12 times due to Ronald Waterreus' injury problems but the 20 year-old never actually saw any 1st team action. In March he was hired out to RKC, as a result of Rob van Dijk's injury, but also never got further than a place on the bench.
