Groningen stadium

FC Groningen's home ground is the "Oosterpark Stadion" which seats 13,000. The stadium has a rather dated appearance and is situated in a built up area of the city. In the stadium there are two main stands plus two smaller stands behind the goals The old terraces behind both goals have been converted and now have seats but remain uncovered. In fact all the lower seating in all four stands are uncovered. Good overall view of the pitch from all parts of the stadium. Groningen have plans to start construction work on a new stadium around 2004.

When at the end of the A28 in Groningen turn right at the traffic lights (Julianaplein). This should bring you in to "'Weg der verenigde naties"' .
Leave the "'Weg der verenigde naties"' at the third exit junction and turn left at the traffic lights.
Turn right at the third traffic lights
Take the second turning to the left.
The stadium is approximately 1 kilometer further on the right hand side.

Bus: From the city center take bus-line 7 to Oosterpark .
