At 12 O'Ēlock this afternoon
Cristian Chivu should know where his future lies
for the coming season. The Rumanian international's agent Becali stated on
Amsterdam's local TV station AT5 yesterday that the transfer to AS Rome will
be completed today. Becali, is currently in Amsterdam to discuss all of the
possibilities that areshould AS Rome fail to deliver financial
gaurantees before this afternoon's 12 O'ēlock deadline. According to the
Dutch daily newspaper 'De Telegraaf' AS Rome have now proposed that they
hire Chivu for the coming six months in order to give them the time to find
the remaining 14 million euros that they oew the Amsterdammers. However, AC
Milan and Chelsea have both stated that they are willing to pay 18 million
euros for the former Ajax skipper before this afternoon's transfer window
closes and Chivu has also said that he isfor a new move. |
