Rumanian international Cristian Chivu
will remain with AS Roma
for the the first half
of the season
after Ajax and Roma agreed to a
four-months-loan
deal. Although AS Roma president Franco Sensi had
vowed to clear up Cristian Chivu's transfer last night,
saying "I will resolve everything tomorrow," it
looked as if Sensi would be having to eat his words after Roma failed to
produce the necessary papers for a permanent move.
With the possibility of having a disgruntled player in the squad, Ajax have
decided against bringing the central defender back to Amsterdam.
Should Roma fail to cough up the
readies before the December deadline then Ajax will hold onto the 6 million
euros first installment as well as the player himself.
Saga closed until Christmas. |
