Ajax's Sonck dissatisfied with wingers role |

Ajax's summer signing Wesley Sonck
has vented his dissatisfaction about his role with the
Amsterdammers. Sonck was purchased this summer from Belgian outfit RC Genk to
become the club's new striker but has been unable to find the right form since
his arrival. In the Belgian newspaper 'Het Laatste Nieuws'
Sonck reacted agitated towards the fact that he was positioned on the right
wing. In the interview Sonck stated that he disagrees with Koeman's decision
to substitute him in the 60th minute of Ajax's Champions League match against
AC Milan. ''I may assume that I wasn't brought to
Amsterdam to play as a right-winger."
Ajax trainer Ronald Koeman stated on Dutch TV: "In the second half Maldinin
went and played on the left hand side and we ended up with a man less and I had
to compensate that by placing a player there." |
