Ronald de Boer to leave Rangers this summer

16 Apr 2004

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ronald de Boer has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season. The future of twin brother Frank is still uncertain,  although the Dutch international defender says that he would like to ink a new extension with the Scottish Premier League giants.
Ronald: "It is more or less certain that I will leave the club at the end of the season even though I have not signed a contract elsewhere. Perhaps, Qatar is an option but maybe I will just stop"
De Boer, who arrived at Rangers in 2000 looks certain to be axed at the end of the season by Rangers-manager Alex McLeish who intends building a new squad.
