der Vaart to swap Ajax for AC Milan ? |

Rafael van der Vaart who has just signed a new improved deal with Ajax
could be leaving the club sooner than intended after admitting that a
switch to the San Siro would fill him with "great joy".
Holland legend and ex AC Milan vendetta Marco van Basten has already
personally arranged talks with AC Milan and hinted that an imminent
pre-contract agreement was a distinct possibility. In the Dutch daily
newspaper 'NRC' Van der Vaart said: "To play in the team that was
symbolized by my idol Marco van Basten would fill me with great joy I thank
Marco for his interest in my situation and he assured me that I would find
the ideal environment at Milan. My wishes were to stay at Ajax for a while
longer but it is a very interesting offer. My agent Soren Lerby had a long
conversation with Vice-President Adriano Galliani on Monday."
