Deportivo La Coruna striker Roy Makaay
has been named by Bayern Munich vice-president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as the
club's number one priority target. The former German international captain
also added that if the club cannot secure a deal with the leader of the
Golden Boot award then they will not turn their attentions elsewhere.
Rummenigge: "Makaay is
the only player that we have the intention of signing. If
we cannot have the Dutchman, we will not buy neither Morientes or anyother
player. In attack we have an
abundance players. It's Makaay or nobody." Makaay has been outstanding
form all season and has triggered several clubs to monitor his progress.
The Dutch international striker has also been linked with Chelsea and
Juventus in recent weeks..
