Leo Beenhakker proposed meeting last weekend
with Egyptian striker Mido to battle out the differences between the fiery
forward and Ajax coach Koeman, has been moved to next week.
Celta, who have hired the 'enfant terrible' for the rest of the season, have
stated that they are quite confident that they will be given the chance by Ajax
to make an offer for Mido, who has displayed the more positive side of his
character since his arrival in Spain. Celta`s technical secretary Felix Carnero
said: "We think Ajax will give a purchase option to us, but we will not
know exactly the situation until Beenhakker comes
to speak with the player and us. We thought that might happen last
week, but it seems as if it is going to happen after our game with Deportivo
(May 25). We do not know for sure if they
plan to retain him or sell him. I do not discard the possibility of extending
his loan."
