The match between Heracles
Almeloand lowly placed VVV
was only one minute old when Thijs Sluiter headed in Marnix Smit's cross
for the one and only goal of the match.
Sparta, who beat top of
the table Emmen earlier
in the week, were once again in form this evening but were nonetheless
unable to beat Fortuna. Sparta striker Edwin van Burend in the
28th minute of the game for the visitors and in the 50th minute of the
game the homeside were facing more trouble after Geert Brusselers was
sent for an early shower reducing Fortuna to 10. Just 4 minutes later
Tom Daemen found the back of the net for the homeside for the undeserved
draw.
Emmen, whose title
aspirations slightly faded after last week's surprise defeat against
Sparta, were back on track last night after beating Volendam
at home 2-0 with a Donny de Groot brace . De Grootd in the ninth
minute of the game and put the final 2-0 on the score-line with a late
second half goal. De Groot's two goals make him the eerste divisie's top scorer with
19 goals.
MVV
took the lead in their match against Eindhoven
in the 32nd minute of the game after Wasiu Taiwo netted from close range
and with just 6 minutes remaining on the clock it looked as if MVV has
all three points in the bag but then Zyad Jusic equalized out of the
blue. 1 minute later MVV looked once again as if they were on roses
after Robrecht Deckers put them 2-1 ahead. Unfortunately MVV had counted
their chickens a little to quick and swa the visitors take all three
points home after Rik van den Langenberg and Luciano van Kallen scored
two injury time goals for the 2-3 score-line.
Top
Oss Veendam ended as it
began, 0-0. Not so much happened that was worth mentioning in this
evening's match. The players turned up and every now and then they
kicked the ball.
