Johann Cruyff has stated that he
had already predicted that Barcelona's current crisis would happen but
that nobody was prepared to listen to his advice and has also blamed the
Spanish media for not listening to his warnings. "When I told
people about the troubles behind the scenes before I was called
opportunistic and was criticized for speaking out. Now you can see the
problems and you, the press, are partly to blame for making the
situation worse. Why did you kill off the pressure group, Elefant Blau,
when they were making the motions to uncover things at the club.
I also do not believe that Gaspart can be solely blamed for everything.
There are many guilty parties. It is not only president who has failed,
many people at the club have failed in their duties.
Everyone can commit errors as long as you have made those decisions with
your head and with anheart. But I am not putting my self up as an
opposition candidate to Gaspart, I am just telling you what I think. I
have no interest in taking over the club because it is extremely hard
work and I do not need that. But I am going to work with former player,
Txiki Begiristain to build an alternative view of the future for the
club."
