weren't clicking as a team tonight and their Polish opponents had chances
to create an upset throughout the match. The first half was poor
entertainment when the best chance was Roland Kolman's shot which forced a
great save from goalie Krzysztalowicz. It took until late in the match before the
long-awaited goals arrived and you could feel the sigh of relief that
swept through the noisy stadium when Austrian striker Roland Kollman headed in
the first from a Scott Booth cross in the 70th minute. The Scottish
striker struck home the second goal himself within 60 seconds of the
first. The goals gave the team more confidence and they strung the moves
together far more convincingly. They suddenly tightened up in all
departments and it was a shame that Kollman had another goal disallowed for offside in the 80th. The
"Tukkers" hung onto their advantage against a weak opponent and go through to the 2nd
Round of the UEFA Cup.
