Henk Timmer returns to AZ

Henk Timmer, who's been Edwin Zoetebier's stand-in at the Kuip, will most likely be returning to AZ at the end of the season after being on loan to Feyenoord. The Rotterdammers wanted to sign Timmer, who's under contract with the Alkmaarders till 2005,  and the 30 year-old wanted to stay  but AZ's asking price of €700,000 Euros has proved too high for Feyenoord! A possible swap involving Ferry de Haan crash-landed earlier this week when AZ signed Fortuna's Joost Volmer.
