Feyenoord tell Van Gastel he can go

Feyenoord have told midfielder Jean-Paul van Gastel he can leave the club as soon as he finds a new club willing to take him on. The 29 year-old has battled with a series of injuries during the last year-and-a-half which have kept him out of action for most of that time. He played only 4 matches last season, scoring 1 goal, and no Ere Divisie matches this season although Bert van Marwijk did make use of him for a couple of the Rotterdammers' Champions League matches.
