Roda did well to hold their own
against the French side and were able to 'disable' the Bordeaux strikers
in the 1st half. Garba Lawal, Bernard Tchoutang and Yannis Anastasiou had
chances to score but were lacking in power and accuracy with their shots.
They were also denied a penalty when Anastasiou was held in a
'stranglehold' in the penalty box. It went 'wrong' soon after the break
and a 49th minute header by Miranda was enough to secure victory for the French side.
