only have themselves to blame for this unnecessarily heavy defeat - they
were at least as good as their opponents were on the evening. Uruguyan striker Richard Nuņez
was a thorn in their side and he scored a
hattrick in the 30th, 35th and 90th
minutes. The "Tukkers" had their chances in the 1st half but
Thijs Houwing's attempt found goalie Stefan Huber's arms while Arjen van
der Laan and Ellery Cairo missed. After the break they upped the pressure
but it was Mladen Petric who put away the 4th for the home team in the 52nd. Sjaak Polak got one
back for Twente in the 66th but the 4 - 1 disadvantage
will be practically impossible for the "Tukkers" to undo in the Arke stadium.
