A
possible temporary move for Liverpool's ousted keeper Sander Westerveld to
Spanish side Alavés has fallen through - the asking price for the Dutch
national team's reserve goalie is too expensive for the Spanish side.
Jordi Cruijff and Richard Witschge are already under contract with Alavés
and they've recently been joined by Ajax's Nigerian right-back Christopher
Kanu (on loan) while Westerveld has been looking for a new club since he lost his place to new
signings Jurek Dudek and Chris Kirkland.
