in PSV squad over Gerets |

split could be forming within the PSV squad concerning their coach Erik
Gerets - Captain Mark van Bommel asked for players' opinions before
Christmas and 8 (mainly Dutch) players have expressed a vote of
no-confidence in their coach. Chairman Harry van Raaij has denied that a
'poll' took place and has expressed his continuing confidence in Gerets
while confirming that several players are dissatisfied with
the current situation. The Belgian coach has guided PSV to two consecutive
championship titles but has not been able to get the team beyond the 1st
round of the Champions League, though they did reach the quarter finals of
the UEFA Cup last season. They've had a poor start to the current season
with lots of injuries but are now in 3rd place and have again reached the
UEFA Cup quarter finals (where they meet Parma in March).
