Emmen
had a convincing win this evening, hammering Top Oss 5-0. Donny de Grootd the score in the 13th minute with the one and only goal of the 1st
half. 5 minutes into the second half Sibum increased the lead to 2-0 and, 2
minutes later, Furfaro netted again for the home side. In the 65th, Donny de
Groot was once again on target with his second goal of the evening and his 13th
of the season, putting him just 1 goal behind the Eerste Divisie's top-scorer,
Rik Platvoet.
Emmen climb into 1st place, 1 point ahead of Den Haag who have a game in
hand. |

| Stormvogels/Telstar had a stormy
90 minutes this evening losing 2-1 to Veendam and ending
the match with only 9 men. Although Telstar took the lead in the 24th via a
Sjaak Lettinga goal they were no match for Veendam,
justifiably beaten by goals from Paul Weerman, in the 64th, and Armand Mac Andrew
in the 79th. |

Eagles draw with Heracles 2-2 |

| With
both teams in the race for the period title the fans were treated to
an entertaining match. The home side began well, forcing 3 corners in theng 3 minutes of the game, but Heracles stood their ground. During the
rest of the first-half both teams pushed forward and it was a wonder the
half-time scoreboard was empty. 2 minutes into the 2nd half Koen Brak
finallyd the
score, cleverly nudging in a Yildirim free kick. 2 minutes later Rik
Platvoet equalised for the visitors and, in the 77th minute, he put Heracles
ahead with his 2nd of the evening, making him the Eerste Divisie's top
scorer (14 goals!). In the 80th minute Ugar Yildirim put the final 2-2 on
the board with the well earned equalizer. |

believe that both teams played in the Ere Divisie last season ! |

lost their 4th game in a row this evening, this time by an embarrassing 0-5
margin. Mark van Dijkd the score with his first goal of the season in the
9th minute of the game. Roy Hendriksen put the 0-3 half time score on the
board with 2 goals in the 22nd and 27th. In the 75th minute Helmond's Belgian
forward, Cristophe Aelbrecht, made it 0-4. Five minutes later Mark van Dijk was
once again on target with his second of the evening. 10 minutes later the
referee put an end to Sparta's misery with the end of time whistle. |

lost at home this evening after Wasiu Taiwo had put the visitors ahead in
the 26th minute of the 1st half. 5 minutes before the break Taiwo should
have made it 0-2 after MVV were awarded a penalty but his spot-shot sailed
wide. |
