Australian keeper Joe Didulica has informed Ajax that he intends to leave
the club this summer. Ajax are confronted with the problem that they have three
goalies of outstanding class and can of course only field one of them. With
Didulica's contract running out this summer he has been the subject of speculation
for some time now. Ronald Koeman's decision to offer Maarten Stekelenburg a long
time contract seems to have been the last straw for the goalkeeper, knowing that
it is nearly ompossible to gain a regular first team place with the likes of
Holland's most promising young goalkeeper since Edwin van der Sar.
