Founded in 1889 and League Champions in 1946 - aided by the most famous
player the club has produced "Kick Smit" (full name Johannes
Chrishostomos). He was a legendary allrounder - excellent passer of the
ball, defender, header, powerful striker, fast and with bags of stamina.
He could read the game like no one else! They won the Dutch FA Cup in 1902
and 1912, and were finalists in 1911, 1914 and 1950.
