to appeal against Bankruptcy verdict |

Twente have announced that they will appeal against Wednesday's
verdict by an Almelo court to declare the club
bankrupt after failing to pay €3.1
million Euros to Dutch tax authorities. A club spokesman said ' "FC Twente will appeal against
today's bankruptcy verdict of the Almelo court."
A spokesman for the Dutch FA (KNVB)
has said that the Twente's bankruptcy will have no effect on Twente's presence in the
Eredivisie (for the time being) saying, "FC Twente have appealed and as
long as that appeal has not been handled [before the end of the season] the
licence to play is in the club's hands and the club will not be taken out of
the competition."
