Vitesse have sacked trainer Mike Snoei
after their downward slide had caused angry supporters to call for the coach
to be sacked. The club's
supporter's union met with board member Jan Snellenburg on
Wednesday night and there was a frank exchange of views. A statement from supporters read out to Snellenburg said: "As long
as Snoei is coach, as long as things go as they are going, then the white
handkerchiefs will be shown. Although Snellenburg insisted that the board still
had trust in Snoei the club decided that it's would be better to relieve Snoei
of his duties.
