Newly promoted Portsmouth has confirmed
it's interest in Feyenoord striker Pierre van Hooijdonk. The goal-getter who has
already attracted the interest of Premier League sides Manchester City and Birmingham,
has according to reports in the media already held talks with Blues
boss Steve Bruce. Portsmouth coach Redknapp said: "I like van Hooijdonk,
but it would be a job to get him. He was playing in the Uefa Cup final last
year."
