Dutch international defender Frank de
Boer has attracted the interest of Portsmouth, who have just been promoted
to the English Premier League. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is
hoping to sign a number of big names this summer to ensure that 'Pompey's'
first year in the Premier League does not turn out to be their last. De Boer,
who is out of contract in June, has no intentions of returning to his former
club Ajax and is seeking a move to the Premiership. His agent will be
in England this week with the intention of sounding out interested clubs.
Portsmouth will have to join Blackburn
Rovers and Manchester City who are also keen to sign the De Boer.
