striker Pierre van Hooijdonk is expected to fly off to Birmingham City
this week to hold talks after reaching a €850.000 Euros fee with
Feyenoord. According to reports in the English daily newspaper 'The Sun'
The Dutch international attacker will
sign a two-year deal at St Andrew's by the end of the week. Birmingham
boss Steve Bruce has spent almost a year targeting the 33-year-old former
Nottingham Forest and Celtic star, but has has now finally broken
the deadlock at the weekend when Feyenoord settled for a reasonable fee.
Van Hooijdonk has now only to agree the personal terms on offer
before he can team up with Frenchman Christophe Dugarry in a new
partnership. |
