Feynoord, who are currently touring
Japan, are reported to be targeting Japanese international Tsuneyasu
Miyamoto. The 26-year-old, skipper of Japanese outfit Gamba
Osaka, has confirmed that Feyenoord officials have held talks with his
agent about the possibility of a move to Rotterdam but denied that he is
close to agreeing a deal. However, he did stress that a switch to Feyenoord to link-up
with Japan team-mate Shinji Ono appealed to him. Miyamoto added that Feyenoord scouts are
still keeping tabs on him, and that he will need a solid showing at this
month's Confederations Cup if the Dutch club are to sign him.
