27-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Ivan
Willcockx is desperately hoping that relegated outfit De Graafschap will
offer him a contract in the next few days. Wilcockx was forced to leave
Belgian side KV Mechelen earlier in the year when the ex-UEFA cup holder was
declared bankrupt. Wilcockx finished off the remainder of the season
with Belgian second division side Strombeek. Wilcockx, who recently watched
De Graafschap play against Groningen said: "I
would love to come to De Graafschap. Against Groningen I was impressed with
the tour and the people. Furthermore,
Eric Viscaal and Dave de Jong, former players of De Graafschap and KV
Mechelen, have told me positive things about the club. I'm
only waiting on a concrete offer now. According my agent that can come any
moment."
