Dutch international goalkeeper Edwin van
der Sar has been targeted by Ajax for a possible return to the club.
Although Ajax have two world class goalkeepers in their midst's, at
1.4 million euros Van der Sar would be a welcome bargain. When Van der Sar
made the switch to Fulham he was told by boss Jean Tigana he would be the first of a
series of superstar signings. However, Fulham's cash flow dried up and
the club are now struggling for Premiership survival.
Van der Sar won the European Cup with Ajax in 1997 and is keen to return
to European competition next season.
Ajax are also keento see Van der Sar return to the club to help boost their ambitions of returning to Europe's
elite.
