Ajax, PSV and Belgium top side Club Brugge are
all hoping to sign Utrecht's goalkeeper Harald Wapenaar whose contract
runs out at Utrecht this summer. Utrecht's precarious
financial position will mean that the club are probably unable to afford a
new contract extension. Ajax see the 33 year as an ideal replacement for
their reserve goalkeeper Joey Didulica who has announced that he wants to
leave Ajax's reserve bench at the end of the season. PSV are also in
need of a new reserve goalkeeper after having lent reserve keeper Coutinho
out to Den Bosch.
