Willem
II are through to the semi-finals of the Intertoto tournament
after beating Russian side Krilya Samara 2-0 in Tilburg tonight. After
losing 3-1 in Russia the away goal the 'Tricolores' scored in Russia
proved to be decisive.
Choosing to attack from the whistle they were rewarded with goals by Chris
Janssens and Tarek Sektioui and now go on to face Malaga, former Ajax
player Kiki Musampa's club.
NAC have been
knocked out of the Intertoto tournament by French side Troyes after a
goalless away draw in France. They had the better chances of the match in
Auxerre but newcomers Bart van den Eede and Ali Boussaboun failed to
convert them into balls-in-the-back-of-the-net while Alfred Schreuder
picked up a thigh injury.
