returns to Sparta as amateur |

Following in the footsteps of Igor Korneev (NAC)
and Christopher Kanu (TOP Oss), Carlos Fortes is going to continue playing
football on an amateur basis. The 28 year-old is returning to his old club
Sparta, where he previously turned out between 1992 and 1997, after failing
to obtain a new deal with Vitesse. The Rotterdammer had been plagued by a
string of injuries while at the Gelredome.
