AZ have signed Ajax's
defender Tim de Cler on a contract for 3 years. The 23 year-old left-back
has already passed his medical with the Alkmaarders after getting permission
totalks with them yesterday. It didn't take long for the deal to be
closed and De Cler, who's turned out a total of 76 times for Ajax, will be
happy to have found a new club after an
unsuccessful trial earlier in August with English side West Bromwich Albion.
He was told by Ronald Koeman that there was no room for him in the squad at
the ArenA this season.
