Zlatan Ibrahimovich will be staying at Ajax
next season after talks between himself, his agent Anders Carlsson and AS
Roma ended with the sensible decision to stay and mature at the ArenA
rather than try to compete with the likes of high-flying sharp-shooters
Totti, Delvecchio, Batitusta and Montella at the Serie A giants. After
spending much of last season on the bench in Amsterdam and failing to
convince when on pitch (apart from getting the winning Amstel Cup goal
against Utrecht) it seems only right that the youngster stay put and find
his feet, hopefully maturing into the kind of goal-scoring talent that
others say he is!
