Van der Vaart welcomes arrival Litmanen

Ajax's talented midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has welcomed the imminent arrival of former Ajax, Barcelona and Liverpool player (and crowd-favourite at the ArenA) Jari Litmanen. Speaking to Dutch public broadcaster the NOS' Studio Sport programme the youngster, who scored two goals in this afternoon's match against Groningen at the Oosterpark stadium, said there was much to be learnt from the Finnish veteran's experience as a player and that there was undoubtedly room in the team for both of them to work together. We can only look forward to the fruits of their on-pitch endeavours!
