"I've had a good time with Feyenoord but
it's time to move on," were Brett Emerton's words to English paper 'The
Mail on Sunday' as he announced that he's on the point of moving to English
Premiership side Newcastle United. The twoi clubs are said to have
reached agreement on a fee of 30 Million Euros for the Australian
international's transfer ending weeks, months of speculation as to which
club would cough up the cash to secure his signature. The 23 year-old's been
targeted by sevral English clubs since the beginning of the year including
Liverpool and Leeds United but no deal was reached until today's news!
Newcastle hope to present their latest signing
at the end of this week.
