still fears losing Chivu |

coach Ronald Koeman is still worried that Real Madrid will swoop to sign
Christian Chivu. Although a deadline has passed, which would have made it
possible for the Spanish giants to make use of a clause in his contract to
snap up the Romanian international for a 'bargain price', Koeman still
believes that Real will make a move for the Amsterdammers' captain in the
near future. Clubs in Holland simple can't afford to pay the kind of wages
English, Spanish and Italian clubs pay their players and Koeman expects
Civu will be lure elsewhere at some point. It would be a huge blow to the
Ajax coach's plans for the future but for the time being he will continue
to build a team around Chivu's undeniable talent.
