PSV are considering the addition
of South Korean player Ji-Sung Park during the winter break. 'Guus Hiddink
and myself will be travelling to Korea at the end of November and it's
possible that we'll close the deal then. He's certainly a player of
sufficient quality to be able to play for us and we can field him in various
positions," the club's technical director Frank Arnesen told provincial
newspaper 'Eindhovens Dagblad'. Park is one of several Korean players who
impressed with their performances during the recent World Cup. The 21
year-old midfielder attracted the most attention with his match-winning goal
against Portugal and has made 40 international appearances. Park is
currently under contract to Japanese side Kyoto Purple Sanga who are 4th in
the J-League. He's in his 2nd season with the club but his contract runs out
in December and he would be able to leave transfer-free.
