Den Haag beat Den Bosch 3-1

19 Aug 2002

ADO Den Haag had a simple 3-1 win against recently relegated Den Bosch tonight and shown that they have their eyes set on the Eerste Divisie title this season. Lex Schoemaker and Rinus Israel's team, tipped by many trainers as a promotion contender this season, had few problems with their opponents. Former 'Tukker' Arjan van der Laan put the home team ahead on the stroke of halftime (45th) with a spot-shot, Roy Stroeve increased the lead after the break, Romeo Castelen added a 3rd before Stefan Jansen (returned to his old club after an unsuccessful Ere Divisie season with NEC) put away a penalty consolation goal for trainer Gert Kruys' side.
