Twente had been putting on
some fine performances in recent matches but failed to continue their
convincing form in this match. After a very poor first half in which neither
side created any goal-scoring opportunities Jurgen Cavensd the score
soon after the start of the 2nd act. Cavens, Houwing and Polak all had
chances to increase the score but failed, allowing Richard Roelofsen to curl
in a late freekick equalizer for the home team.
