RKC beat De Graafschap 4-2

18 Aug 2002

RKC lineup: Gentenaar, Wisgerhof, Wielaert, Hesp, Zonneveld, Schuurman, Govedarica, Hersi, Simr, De Nooijer, Demouge.
De Graafschap lineup: Wevers, Bot, Vreman, Bakens, Hermans, Culina, Van Leerdam, Turpijn, Hertog, Van Vossen, Valeev.
The Waalwijkers got off to strong start and their first win of the season this afternoon, Rick Hoogendorp putting the home team ahead after 25 minutes. The Doetinchemmers fought back and Ilja Van Leerdam equalized 3 minutes into the 2nd half but they then seemed to ran out of steam. Another Hoogendorp goal on the hour and a suspiciously offside-looking goal by Jason Oost three minutes later more or less tied things up although the visitors continued to look for anng to get back into the match. A 4th goal by Yuri Cornelisse a 4th in the 68th was answered by Hans van den Haar who reduced the gap for the Doetinchemmers in the 70th.
