Vitesse drop to their lowest ever position in the
Ere Divisie following yet another defeat this time at the hands of
struggling RBC Roosendaal. In spite of being humiliated 5-0 by PSV
last week, Vitesse coach Mike Snoei was feeling optimistic for the match
saying "PSV are one of the best teams in Holland and we caught them at
the wrong moment, "RBC are on another level and I expect our
performance to change for the better on Saturday." Their performance
was certainly not any better and it really does look as if Vitesse will have
to take some drastic measures soon or the club could find themselves in the
Eerste Divisie next season.
Henk Vosd the score via a penalty kick in the 12th minutes of the game
and RBC then doubled their lead in the 29th minute after a strike from Edwin
De Graaf. In the 60th minutes Geert Den Ouden increased RBC's lead to 3
goals.
Emile Mbamba scored a last minute consolation goal for Vitesse,
