PSV are the winter champions in
Holland's Ere Divisie after a less than convincing 1-0 win at home to
Vitesse, their fifth in a row. With a nervous Jelle ten Rouwelaar replacing
Waterreus in goal and an equally insecure defence PSV only managed to scrape
through tonight's match. Wilfred Bouma put them ahead with a freekick-goal
in the 42nd minute but Guus Hiddink's boys almost gave away the points with
their defensive blunders. Mike Snoei's team have not won a match in their
last 6 outings and, with only 16 points from 17 matches to show for the
season so far, go into the break in 14th place.
