NEC secured UEFA cup place this
afternoon but had to wait until two minutes into injury time for a last-gasp
winner from NEC midfielder Jarda Simr. NEC
needed to beat RKC on their home ground and hope that Roda and Heerenveen
lost and with the game looking as if it would be ending in a 0-0 stalemate,
their chances of qualify for Europe next season looked imipossible.
However Simr's injury-time winner proved
otherwise.
