Excelsior lost three valuable survival points last night after  losing 0-1 at home to fellow relegation threatened Zwolle. Excelsior should have taken the lead in the 38th minutes of first half but Bastos somehow missed a spot-shot. With just 1 minute remaining on the clock Lim-Duan who came into the match in the 69th minute for Ivan Cvetkov,  scored in the 89th minute to move Zwolle up to third from bottom and revive their chances of escaping relegation this season.
