AZ sneak into 8th position after a well earned
3-1 win over bottom of the table De Graafschap and are now just 5 points
away from European football. Even so, trainer Co Adriaanse refuses to
contemplate a European dream, preferring to remain with both feet on the
ground. It took AZ until just before the break to find the back of the net
with two goal in the last two minutes of the first half. Barry
van Galend for the home side in the 43rd-minutes and Robin Nelisse
bagged a second on the stroke of half-time.

Duits reduced the gap to just 1 goal in the 53rd minutes, five minutes later Michael Buskermolen put
the final 3-1 score-line on the board.
