Ajax won 2-1 at home to third from
bottom Groningen. After taking a 2-0 lead via Van der Meyde and Ibrahimovic,
who now looks to have found the form that can sink any team, Ajax made things hard for themselves by dropping down to second gear
and allowing the visitor to come back into the match. After Shoenmakers
pulled a goal back Ajax were forced to sweat it out for the last 16
minutes. Although perhaps not the best rehearsal for Tuesday's champions
league clash with in form Arsenal, the Gunners are nonetheless warned of
Ibrahimovic whose displays of wizardry during last nights game, proves that
he is a player of outstanding class and perhaps equally as dangerous as
Arsenal's French international striker, Thierry Henry.
