Stormvogels/Telstar's top scorer
Laurens ten Heuvel has signed a contract for two years with English First
Division side Sheffield United. After a shaky start to last season on
arriving in Velsen from Amsterdam's amateurs DCG Ten Heuvel began putting
away the goals that eventually attracted the attentions of Roda JC, Willem
II and Sheffield United with "The Blades" finally winning the
battle for his signature and goal-scoring services. He's made Telstar
history by equalling the club record for goals in one season set by Ronald
Hoop and now moves across the channel to try his luck in England for the
second time after an earlier adventure with Barnsley.
